Despite being best known for skiing, mornons, and wacky alcohol laws Salt Lake City also has a damn fine climbing scene. Last weekend, the American Alpine Club hosted their 2nd Annual ‘Craggin’ Classic’ where climbers from around the country (and world) convened for climbing, mountain films, tacos, loud music, yoga and beer.
The action kicked off Friday night with wine tasting, Indian food in a cup, slide shows and tapped kegs at Brighton Ski Resort. Saturday followed with clinics, more beer, tacos and a rock-out-with-your-c***-out concert. Sunday finished off a fine weekend with fresh snowfall, steaming hot breakfast burritos, service project, more climbing and mountain films. Climbing celeb's in attendance include Steve House, Cedar Wright, Caroline George, Jasmin Caton, Kate Rutherford, Mikey Shaefer, Kitty Calhoun, Nancy Feagin and Jim Donini.
