Sunrise approaching the Teepee Glacier
Yesterday, myself and two friends decided to make a one-day push to climb & ski the Grand Teton. Starting at 2:30AM, we touched back at our car at 7:30PM — 17 hours later. Although we had phenomenal weather and solid snow conditions, the snow ended up being a little too solid (icy) for my comfort and I opted to stay at a fixed anchor in the Ford Coulior, rather than climb the final ~1000 ft. to the summit and ski the 55 degree, no-fall zone, without belay. (I skied the Grand two years ago and have summited almost ten times, so I didn't feel too bad about this self-preservation decision). However, my two partners did successfully climb on and summit, and manage to ski back to my anchor without killing themselves.

First descent ever with Dukes? I think Jerome needs some Dynafits!

Ha! On Icelandic skis too. Since it seems like we're giving any demographic with a unique ride props for skiing the grand these days, I think Jerome deserves a medal for all-time heaviest setup!

I think Chris was the only one with any common sense. This looks too dangerous for anyone to try skiing.
