Check out this gorgeous new trailer (debuted on the Arc'teryx website yesterday) by a film troupe new to me - Sherpas Cinema. A beautiful and flowing mishmash of environmentalism and ski culture, All.I.Can promises to be different and compelling.
The Sherpas are taking a completely different approach to ski and environmental documentary filmmaking and we couldn’t be more excited. After an epic first year of production we are full steam ahead on this two-year grand quest. We are building on last season’s trips to the stunning volcanoes of Chile, the high Atlas of Morocco, the reliable gnar of Haines, Alaska and icy clutches of the Freshfield Icefields. Focusing on technical shoots including seasonal transitions plus Cineflex, Phantom and Cable Cam operations, much of our winter will be spent receiving the bounties right here in beautiful British Columbia. In partnering with Island Lake Lodge and Mica Heli, we will complete several trips to both locations to systematically slay it. In addition, Snowwater Heli, Monashee Powder, Bralorne, plenty of Whistler Blackcomb plus Hawaii and Alaska are on the radar too. We continue to work with Salomon Freeski TV providing a unique look at skiing and an entire stop animation episode is in the works…it’s gonna be insane!
taking an honest look at the real mountain individual in the context of their environment, “All.I.Can” aims to find a balance between our passions for the outdoors and an inspiration for green and long-term thinking. Together, we share this vision with continued support from Arc’teryx, The North Face, Recco, Whistler Blackcomb, Salomon, Clif Bar, Fresh Sports, Smith, the Island Lake Group and many more. Stay tuned for a plethora of web snips and “All.I.Can” updates landing through out the winter.
