Yesterday a little brown package showed up at my door—inside it, a brand spanking new POV.HD video camera by V.I.O. As any good PR professional would do for a client, I put aside my busy work schedule and headed out to Teton Pass for an official product testing work trip. As I approached the parking lot, the mountain was completely socked in—shrouded in cloud, encased in totally flat gray light. (Not the greatest conditions for testing imaging equipment.) Fortunately, by the time I reached the summit, the clouds had begun to break and a beautiful orange light crept along the slope, illuminating the ice covered trees and powdery landscape for an absolutely sublime ski back to the car.

V.I.O.'s new POV.HD mounted neatly on my goggles. Unfortunately, the field of view is so wide (142 degrees) that a large part of my goggles were recorded through the video, necessitating that I crop the video to a smaller dimension of 640x480 (originally shot at 1080p).

We also witnessed a heli rescue between Edelweiss and Christmas Tree bowls. A woman, skiing by herself in her 40's allegedly hurt her knee.
