A couple weeks ago I spent a night at Jackson Fork Ranch, located next to the Wyoming Range the Hoback River. Goes without saying, but this area is a beautiful, beautiful, untouched example of pristine Wyoming wilderness.
Very regretfully, there are active plans to drill 136 natural gas wells adjacent to this property, in the Upper Hoback Basin, south of Jackson. This project, called the Eagle Prospect and Noble Basin Master Development Plan (MDP), calls for 29 miles of new or upgraded roads, 17 well pads and 136 natural gas wells in the middle of a currently pristine sections of Bridger-Teton National Forest. The project will also include pipelines, compressor stations, industrial water wells, truck staging areas and other industrial features.

This is the LAST week that the public has an opportunity to comment on this plan. Comments MUST be submitted by FRIDAY, MARCH 11 to be considered. Join us in stopping this project:

It is scary to think about all of the fracking that is going on across the US> If you want to learn more about it and its effects, watch "Gasland". It is a very powerful documentary that actually left me feeling upset.

Thanks Audrey - I'll definitely check it out. (and yes, it is very upsetting. Especially after visiting this area personally)
