If you're not familiar with Vimeo, I highly suggest you check it out. It's a YouTube-esque video sharing site, but draws a different crowd. Vimeo is mobilized not around cats falling off furniture and teenage bloggers ranting about their parents, but a community of artists and filmmakers who share and critique each others' work.
Recently, Vimeo held its first ever award series which produced some phenomenal short videos. This 6 minute short took home the "Best Video," "Best Documentary," and "Community Choice" awards. And I'm not going to lie, it brought me to tears. Being the owner of a dog with a terminal illness myself, this video beautifully captures the terrible emotion of coming to terms with the realization that your best friend isn't going to be around much longer...
