Last week a friend of mine spotted a bumper sticker that exclaimed:
I fully realize the pretentiousness of driving around with a slogan like this plastered across the rear of a beat-up Subaru, but the truism of the phrase couldn't ring clearer for those of us who live full-time in tourist towns. Case-in-point, I shot this video last Thursday, after work at Phelp's Lake in Grand Teton National Park. The evening consisted of cliff-jumping followed by a cliff-top happy hour with Pacifico & New Belgium beer. Cloaked in towels, soaking in the final rays of the sun, we laughed and drank while watching the sun drop behind Death Canyon, leaving a shimmering silhouette of Prospector Mountain. Indeed, we may well be on permanent vacation.
Shot with my V.I.O. POV.HD camera on 720p, 60fps, playing around with manual light exposure (-1, 0, +1).
